Be careful though, make sure that you measure everywhere so that you can be sure that the frame can fit up the stairs or in your elevator. The frame is one solid piece and very big. It actually saved my mattress. My previous setup included a framed on wheels, a box spring, and a mattress. With this bed, i was able to get rid of the box spring and frame and it added so much more support to my mattress (my old box spring was giving out). Whoever does the marketing for these beds should be fired. The pictures do it no justice and there is only one picture for the frame even on other websites, but it looks so much better in person. Also it is not possible to see the "platform" from the one picture provided. This bed is actually 2 pieces. The first is the chrome frame, the second is the platform that just drops down into the frame. This platform is metal square tubing with rounded corners and about 28 wood slats (14 on each side of the center metal support beam). Plus, being a platform bed, I can easily slide thin tubs under it for storage. I have so much more space in my room and the bed is just a beauty to look at. If this bed ever wears down, which it shows no sign of doing anytime soon, I will definitely purchase another!! |
